As a moderate liberal, I like the idea of Obama re-shaping the court to reflect a 21st century viwe of America, just as I was dreadfully afraid of Bush altering the court to reflect his...19 century view of America.
But something nags at me.
The average american is 31.7 years old, but our laws are interpreted almost exclusively by men and women in their 60s, 70s, and 80s. Soon to be 90s if John Paul Stevens hangs on longer.
Do they reflect us?
What if, God forbid, something happens to multiple Justices in a short amount of time?
